Public Safety & Law Enforcement
Every Klamath County family deserves to feel safe. Steve is committed to fully supporting our law enforcement officers and first responders with the resources and backing they need to keep our communities secure.
Steve's Plan:
- Fully fund and support local law enforcement
- Strengthen partnerships between the county and first responders
- Invest in emergency response infrastructure and equipment
- Implement community-based safety programs that work
Responsible Use of Taxpayer Dollars
Klamath County residents work hard for their money. Steve will bring the same fiscal discipline he learned in the military to county government — spending wisely, cutting waste, and being fully transparent with every dollar.

- Conduct thorough audits of county spending
- Eliminate wasteful programs and redundant expenditures
- Require transparent public reporting on budget decisions
- Prioritize spending on services that directly benefit residents
Agriculture & Rural Communities
Agriculture is the lifeblood of Klamath County. Steve will stand up for our farmers, ranchers, and rural communities — fighting for their water rights, their livelihoods, and their way of life.
Steve's Plan:
- Advocate for fair water rights and irrigation access
- Support policies that protect farmland and ranching operations
- Promote rural infrastructure improvements including roads and broadband
- Work with state and federal agencies on behalf of agricultural interests
Economic Growth & Job Creation
Too many young people are leaving Klamath County because they don't see a future here. Steve will work to attract quality businesses, reduce barriers to growth, and create the kind of economic opportunity that keeps families here.
Steve's Plan:
- Streamline permitting and reduce regulatory burdens on businesses
- Attract new employers and industries to Klamath County
- Support small business development and local entrepreneurs
- Partner with workforce training programs to develop local talent
Homelessness — Practical Solutions
Homelessness is a real and visible challenge in Klamath County. Steve believes in addressing it with compassion but also with accountability — solutions that actually work, not just ones that look good on paper.
Steve's Plan:
- Require accountability and measurable outcomes from service providers
- Support mental health and addiction treatment resources
- Enforce existing laws while connecting individuals to real help
- Coordinate with nonprofits, law enforcement, and state agencies
Transparent & Accountable Government
Steve believes government should work for the people — not the other way around. He will bring the same standards of accountability he lived by in the military to every decision made in the commissioner's office.
Steve's Plan:
- Hold regular public meetings and town halls across the county
- Make county records and decisions easily accessible to residents
- Respond promptly and directly to constituent concerns
- Oppose backroom deals and special-interest influence
